This message serves as an update to the status of the PA Department of Health (PA DOH) masking order. On Friday, December 12, 2021, the PA Supreme Court voided the PA DOH masking order. As a result, district administration will require that all learners, team members, and visitors follow the protocols in the Board approved Health & Safety Plan. The plan states that universal masking will be required during periods of high and substantial community spread. Administration will continue to monitor local and County data to inform decisions and protocols. Parents and caregivers will be notified if the level of community spread drops below the universal masking threshold.

Educational Setting

Learners and team members will be required to wear face coverings while in school.

Transportation

Face coverings are required for all learners using district transportation.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Face coverings will be required for all after school and extra-curricular activities.

Athletics

Face coverings are not required when athletes are actively engaged in aerobic activity. However, face coverings are required between practice drills, on the sidelines, when arriving at or departing from the playing facility, while in a locker room, while not on the playing field, and during shared transportation to/from an event. Coaches and officials are required to wear a mask.

Spectators during School-Sponsored Events

Face coverings are required. Social distancing is strongly encouraged, but not required.
